Let us manage your Green Dot® compliance programs.
Every participating country has a national packaging waste recovery and recycling entity that manages the Green Dot® program for their country. Each country requires you to register with them, and file packaging volume reports on a regular basis. The trouble is, the registration and reporting requirements differ from country to country. You could rely on distributors to handle this for you, but will they? Distributors come and go and they are in the business of selling your products, not maintaining regulatory compliance.
Emergo Group is one of only a few consulting firms that helps companies streamline and maintain their Green Dot® program management and corresponding compliance with the European Packaging Waste Directive. Our clients range from small companies selling in just a few European countries to large multinationals. Regardless of size, all have tried managing their Green Dot® compliance internally and have decided to outsource this task to us.
There are three main areas in which we can help you:
1. Registering your company with the Green Dot® scheme in each country
Emergo Group works directly with PRO Europe and all of the national Green Dot® schemes so we know precisely how to register your company in each country. As such, we will register your product(s) in the countries to which you export and obtain the Green Dot® license(s) on your behalf. In countries in which Emergo Group cannot directly obtain your Green Dot® license (due to national place of business requirements), we will coordinate and manage your Green Dot® activities/fees working directly with your distributors.
2. Preparing the necessary reports and calculating fees to be paid to each country
Calculating the fees requirements for each country is a complicated process. We will maintain centralized control of your Green Dot® participation, reports, filings and fee payments. Each month, quarter or year (depending on country requirements) we will prepare accurate and timely filings of your required Green Dot® Reports and payment of Green Dot® fees. We will then instruct you on how much needs to be paid to each country and provide instructions for doing so.
3. Ensuring ongoing compliance with changes in national or European regulations
The Packaging and Packaging Waste Directive is a pan-European Directive, but it does not supersede all other national regulations nor preclude countries from developing additional requirements. We will inform you about additional requirements for each country and keep you abreast of proposed changes before they become law. It's our job to keep your company in compliance!
Imagine the time you will save by letting us handle Green Dot® compliance for you. The cost of hiring us to handle this for you is quite small compared to the amount of work it takes someone unfamiliar with all the rules to manage internally. Shift the workload to us!
